Algarve Guide: What to do in February
If you are around the Algarve in February, you don’t want to lose a Fado concert of one of the best Portuguese Fado singers. Camané will be acting in Faro at Teatro das Figuras on the 7th of February (Reservations +351 289 888 100). Highly recommended!

Hello from Berlin,
For many years my family and I spent their holydays in the Algarve, in Summer preferably around Lagos or in the Sierra de Monchique. (Sometimes twice the year). We just want to let you know that since the terrible noise of the new Autodrome is disturbing any relaxation we have already warned many people to have their holidays there. I am sure that this Autodrome is a huge miscalculation. In this crisis facing the world nw energy efficient cars and enviromental technologies are asked and not destructive things like car racings. In Germany all the formula 1 tracks had to close. Of protest ba the people and by not having enough visitors. I am sure the same thing will soon happen to the Algarve as well. At least We will let anybody know that it is no more worth to look for a quiet holyday in the Algarve.I’ll have to do my golf somewhere else.

Hi Mullrich,
Thanks for your comment… I have to say that I agree 100% with you; really bad decisions have been made in some areas of the Algarve, areas that once were perfect spots for relaxation and enjoying peaceful holidays are now completely crowded and noisy.
It seems the turistic vision in some areas shifted away from what we were used to and for the worse… for that I can only say try some less popular location to the East.
Hope you won’t quit from visiting the Algarve :)
